Phraya is aged in oak barrels using a deep maturation technique uniquely developed to suit the tropical climate of south-east Asia.
Fundamental to this process is the sitting of our warehouses over cool lagoons, which effectively slows down the ageing process - thus imparting the rum with a distinctive depth.
Upon its coming of age between 7 and 12 years old, only the barrels containing the very finest rum are selected for blending.
